Daniel WANG
Playwright & Director
Daniel WANG obtained his Master's degree from the Graduate Institute of Drama and Theatre at National Taiwan University and was the Artists-in-Residence at National Taichung Theater (2017-2018). He currently works as a theater actor, playwright, and director. His original plays are set in the backdrop of Taiwan, and reflect on contemporary culture, humanity, zeitgeist, and social changes. The works he directed and written, including Uncle Poet, The Unnamed, and Kuang Qi, have toured to cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Macau. Kuang Qi received four awards at the Bangkok Theatre Festival in 2017.
