Stacey WEI
Curator and Trumpet
Stacey WEI is the Director of the Art Center and Associate Professor in the Department of Music at National Dong Hwa University. He also serves as the Yamaha Jazz Trumpet spokesperson for Taiwan. WEI holds a Master of Arts in Jazz Trumpet Performance from Queens College, City University of New York.
A prominent figure in Taiwan’s jazz scene, he has served as Instruction Director for the Summer Jazz Camp at the National Theater and Concert Hall since 2008, guiding the program for eleven years. Since 2012, he has curated the NTCH Summer Jazz and, in both 2022 and 2023, took the helm of the NTT New Year’s Eve Concerts.
