Head of Studio M, Owen WANG serves as a project advisory committee member for the Bureau of Audiovisual and Music Industry Development under the Ministry of Culture. He has been a judge for the 26th and 28th Golden Melody Awards and the 5th Golden Indie Music Awards. He studied under Hollywood veteran composer Ira Newborn and Joseph Church, music director of The Lion King, and became Taiwan’s first composer to receive formal Broadway musical training in New York. His works span theater, film, television, advertising, modern dance, and popular music. Notable film scores include Jump Ashin ! and Zone Pro Site, while his musical theater works include Taiwan Hollywood, Mulan the Musical, and i WEiRDO The Musical.
