Yohei Yamada
        Double Bass
        Yohei Yamada graduated from Berklee College of Music, where he majored in jazz bass and double bass performance. He studied under renowned musicians including Anthony Vitti, Joe Santerre, and Barry Smith, and also trained in classical performance with Minoru Yamazaki, principal double bassist of the Gunma Symphony Orchestra in Japan.
Yamada is dedicated to both performance and education. He previously taught at the International Niibori Academy of Music in Japan and has served as double bass instructor for the NTCH Summer Jazz Camp since 2008. He is currently a lecturer in the jazz music program at the Department of Music at National Dong Hwa University.
Over the years, he has performed alongside numerous acclaimed jazz musicians. His recent collaborations reflect a diverse range of artistic expressions, including serving as music designer for the 2016 cross-disciplinary theater production Sao with calligraphy artist DONG Yangzi, performing with pop singer Gary Chaw on his 2014 world tour, and playing double bass for the 2011 Broadway musical Anything Goes.
