YAN Sheng-wen
Sound Artist
YAN Sheng-wen is a sound artist and music producer whose works are mainly experimental sound art, film, and theater production. In his explorations of acoustic sound and psychedelic glitches, he has sought to fuse influences from Oriental and Western culture in his electronic sound art, incorporating a wide variety of elements and techniques ranging from granular synthesis, Foley sound effects and ambient sound, to field recordings, test tones, and traditional instruments. His works have been shortlisted for the Taishin Arts Award, and featured at major film festivals overseas.
