Sunny YANG Nai-hsuan

Choreographer

A Taipei native with a solid background in dance which culminated with an MFA in dance, performance and choreography from the Taipei National University of the Arts, YANG has fused street dance with conservatory training in her work, which has oen branched out into forms as far away as hip-hop and rock music. She was the artist in residence at the Laban Centre in 2006, two-time recipient of Cloud Gate Dance eatre Lo Man-fei Dance Scholarship in 2010 and 2014, and was featured in the National Culture and Arts Foundation’s Young Stars New Vision program in 2008, 2009 and 2013. She co-founded Les Petites Choses Production in 2015, through which she has been active in performing throughout Taiwan, in addition to bringing the experience of art and dance to wider audiences with the Monday School project, where artists from home and abroad share their artistic expertise with the greater public, including a featured event at the 2019 One Dance Week festival in Bulgaria.
